I have to say to start that usually reboots of old long forgotten IP's tend to turn into dumpster fires, so the fact that BT3 isn't a dumpster fire is an achievement in and of itself.
I didn't love every part of this film, but I loved enough to recommend it to others.
I'm a lifelong fan of BT 1 and 2 (yes even 2, the one everyone unfairly seems to hate. That being said, at the very least, BT3 "feels" like a Bill and Ted film, so that much was a success.
Alex Winters and Keanu Reeves put in their usual strong efforts, and they definitely didn't forget how to play Bill and Ted.
A minor complaint, but I felt like the inclusion of the daughters just muddled the script a bit, and took away precious time from the approximate 90 minute runtime in a detrimental way. The actresses did a fine enough job playing them, but their inclusion seemed "forced" like the studio just wanted an excuse to include some pretty faces in the cast.
The only "returning" character I had issue with was Death. It was great to see him again, but the acting / general presentation of his character was a bit painful to watch.
I don't know why, and I'm guessing this is an unpopular opinion, but I think Anthony Carrigan knocked it out of the park playing the robot. Unexpected and hilarious.
My only real complaint with the film is that when it got down to business, when B+T start traveling using the phone booth, those adventures just weren't nearly as entertaining as the trips (time travel or afterlife) that the guys took in 1+2. What should have been the strongest portion of the film fell a bit flat to me.
Overall though, this film was entertaining, worth seeing, and great for nostalgia.
